Strings

Strings Auditions: Saturday, February 6, 2010
Performance Hall

String Admission Requirements:

All students must perform an audition on their major instrument. Students electing a performance degree must pass a performance review at the end of the first semester to receive full acceptance into the degree program. Methods of assessment include juries, orchestral auditions, and chamber music performances. String scholarships are awarded only to intended music performance or music education majors.

Accompaniment is encouraged but not required. Applicants may bring their own accompanists, or call the music department well in advance of the audition for information on USU accompanists for hire.

All students are additionally required to submit 2 letters of
recommendation, to be delivered at their live audition or by mail
prior to the live audition day.  One of these letters should be from
your primary instrument instructor.
